George1 Gastineau was related to George Lewis Gastineau in some as-yet-unknown way, possibly as a great-nephew. [See that lineage under Pierre Gastineau]. His father was possibly Job Gastineau Sr. and his mother was possibly Elizabeth Nutterwell [Janice Budd, Ancestors of George (Sr.) Gastineau]. He was born 1774(?) possibly in Washington County, Virginia [Budd, Ancestors of George (Sr.) Gastineau]. The name of his 1st wife is still unknown — but it was NOT Sally Caraway.
